The main intent of this text is to synthesize the contributions of the present dossier, whose purpose is to valorize Pasolini as a “philosopher” and to highlight his knowledge of philosophy. § 2 is entirely dedicated to this goal. However, this reasoned synthesis is part of a broader discourse. On one hand, it is preceded by a brief section that reconstructs what “philosophy” and “philosopher” mean for Pasolini. The achieved result is that he considers philosophical activity as a poetic form of life, namely one that coincides with the poetry of the «written language of reality»: the vision that the world is a vast poem to interpret and rewrite. On the other hand, the synthesis of the contributions is followed by a section that identifies many other philosophical readings of Pasolini and hopes to encourage future scholars to conduct further investigations.
