The images of God passed down from biblical texts have strongly contributed to the building of our imaginaries (religious, social, political), becoming a way to legitimize or counter violence, conflicts or, on the contrary, build peace. Through the analysis of Exodus 15, this paper argues the usefulness of such biblical passages to question ourselves on the concepts of injustice and violence. The distance that separates the world of the reader from that of the text is certainly wide, as is that between the divine images and the religious imaginaries that they originated. This distance, however, is also the space for questions that allow us to develop our own conception of justice and injustice, of divine and religious violence

Abstract
The images of God passed down from biblical texts have strongly contributed to the building of our imaginaries (religious, social, political), becoming a way to legitimize or counter violence, conflicts or, on the contrary, build peace. Through the analysis of Exodus 15, this paper argues the usefulness of such biblical passages to question ourselves on the concepts of injustice and violence. The distance that separates the world of the reader from that of the text is certainly wide, as is that between the divine images and the religious imaginaries that they originated. This distance, however, is also the space for questions that allow us to develop our own conception of justice and injustice, of divine and religious violenceFile | Dimensione | Formato | |
