Abstract
Elliptic Curves (EC) are a rich mathematical subject that, in recent years, has found several important applications in pure and applied sciences. In this report, the notion of Elliptic Curve over a field K is first introduced. The case whereby field K is finite is then analyzed with respect to the applicability of ECs to the construction of cryptosystems. A systematic parallel with classical cryptosystems (i.e., based on the properties of the multiplicative group of finite fields) is also drawnFile in questo prodotto:
