A general overview of research activities in the field of particle detectors at ITC-irst (Trento, Italy) will be presented. In particular, we are currently involved in medium-series fabrication of double-sided detectors for AMS and ALICE experiments, as well as in research projects, among them the radiation hardening of silicon detectors by means of oxygenation processes. Other fields of interest, to be explored within the RD50 framework, include the integration of a bulk micromachining technology with the process used for the fabrication of microstrip detectors, thus allowing the realization of innovative (thin, 3D) detectors for High Energy Physics.

Abstract
A general overview of research activities in the field of particle detectors at ITC-irst (Trento, Italy) will be presented. In particular, we are currently involved in medium-series fabrication of double-sided detectors for AMS and ALICE experiments, as well as in research projects, among them the radiation hardening of silicon detectors by means of oxygenation processes. Other fields of interest, to be explored within the RD50 framework, include the integration of a bulk micromachining technology with the process used for the fabrication of microstrip detectors, thus allowing the realization of innovative (thin, 3D) detectors for High Energy Physics.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
