The main objective of this document is to define an abstract reference model and a concrete representation of a data structure called context. This work is part of the EDAMOK project, and provides the basis for the first implementation of a context-based distributed system for information retrieval. Contexts are the main data structure used to represent local intelligence. In thi document, we simpli describe the abstract structure of contexts and mappings and provide a language to describe both things. This language is called Context Markup Language (CTXML)
