Abstract

In the context of a serious educational game that motivates children to adopt more sustainable home-to-school mobility habits, we designed and implemented a collaborative multi-player mutual insurance system, with the intent to support low-performing players with the help of high-performing ones. As a preliminary step towards a field study evaluating this new game mechanic, in this paper we present the design and the development for an automatic calibration of the system, simulating the effects of the choices for each parameter in the player's game progression.
