LaBr 3 crystals are a key element for high-end gamma-ray detectors based on indirect conversion. Recent developments in high-density SiPM technology opened the possibility to solid-state readout of this crystals providing similar performance of PMTs. After having assessed the obtainable resolution and the imaging capabilities of smaller prototypes of this technology (1-2’’ scintillators), a compact readout system for gamma-spectroscopy with 3"×3" LaBr3 coupled to 144 SiPMs readout by a high-dynamic range (87dB) ASIC is under development, allowing imaging reconstruction together with high-resolution gamma-ray spectroscopy. The first experimental results will be here presented.

Abstract
The first experimental results will be here presented.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
