Abstract
The development of a system able to detect and track moving objects is described. Given a sequence of time-varying images, the goal is to count the number of moving objects that cross a counting line. A motion detection scheme is presented that has to determine whether new objects have enterd the scene. A tracking approach that combines prediction and matching steps is then needed in order to follow the objects until they reached the counting line. The efficiency of the proposed approach is finally illustrated in experiments using data obtained in a real environmentFile in questo prodotto:
