In this paper we present a new web-based information system for the planning and the control of the fabrication process in an R&D microelectronics laboratory. The main functions and the architecture of the tool, intended initially for our microelectronics laboratory, will be illustrated, with attention to the modern analysis techniques used in the design of the project. In order to explain the system flexibility and its reusability in different R&D and production environments, the most significant implementation details will be also described.
